Levers

A lever is a simple machine used to lift or move things. It has two parts. One part is the arm which moves. The fulcrum supports the arm and does not move. They make work easier. This is a list of levers: can opener, crowbar, shovel, scissors, broom, hammer and pliers.

A lever has three parts. They are the force, fulcrum and the load. If the fulcrum is closer to the load it is easier to lift things. The farther away the fulcrum is to the load the harder it is to lift things.
